Rudy Hagood - Senior Pastor

Rudy was born in Los Angeles but his family is from Alabama.  So, he considers himself a west coast guy with down south flair!  He and his lovely, oops, sorry for understating, his "fine wife" Osharye, as he would word it, have 7 crazy kids (count 'em).  They say that their kids taught them what life is all about.  He is grateful and honored to be the Lead Pastor at University Christian Church in Los Angeles CA. He is a graduate from Hope International University and Southwestern Christian College.  He is currently pursuing an MDIV from Fuller Theological Seminary. Pray for our Pastor!  Rudy was ordained as a Pastor on September 24, 2000.  He is passionate about unity in the body of Christ, discipleship, and bridging concepts and people.  He tends to speak with this passion and conviction.  His one reward is that he and people move one step forward as a result of each encounter.  Rudy has over 20 years of experience in the social work fields where he developed a passion for helping people help themselves. Although his favorite sport is baseball, he received a basketball scholarship to Florida A&M University.  His favorite food changes every week and he’s read over 70 Star Wars books. I think that makes him a Jedi.  His favorite quote is “Every man who stands to proclaim the Word should speak with something of the bold authority of the Word itself.” ~ A.W. Tozer

Kim is married to Dave and they have three kids.

Oscar Corral - Community & Men's Director

Oscar was raised in the city of San Fernando and now lives in Canyon Country.  He is married to his high school sweetheart and best friend Raquel.  They share an amazing love story and have two beautiful children.  His daughter, Giselle, is 11 years old and his son Jessiah is 7 years old.  Oscar is a co-founder and board member of the Brewline Men’s Fellowship in the city of San Fernando.  The Brewline is in its 9th year and has hundreds of men that consider themselves Brewliners.  Oscar has taught in Los Angeles County jails with the prison ministry Malachi Dads and in youth detention centers throughout the county.  He is passionate about leading and teaching men to honor Jesus with all of their lives.  He knows that when men love Jesus, they will lead families that honor the Lord and influence communities to do the same.  Oscar is blessed beyond measure to serve University Christian Church- the body, and its communities.  These words of A.W.Tozer have greatly influenced Oscar: “The most important thing about me is what I believe about God.”  Oscar adds that this determines how we do everything in life and this is why it is heavy on his heart.

Prior to coming to UCC, he led the youth church, Sunday school, and youth bible study at Holy Chapel Church in Los Angeles. London is a law enforcement officer with the University of California. When he's not catching bad guys, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Summer, and their five young sons, Nolan, Parker, Jaxon, Mason, and Carter.
