What We Are Doing?

It’s so exciting to see such tremendous growth in every area of UCC .

In celebrating what God is doing here at UCC our Elders felt led to address a concern that has been with them for years. We live in a part of the nation where bringing in and keeping key leaders is very hard to do because of the cost of housing. In May of 2008 we as a church overwhelmingly approved the church owning a house for the Senior Pastor and family to live in while leading at UCC. This home will be made available to our pastor now and senior pastors in the future.

In order to facilitate this purchase and address other pressing facility needs necessitated by our growth, the church leadership applied and was approved for a loan of $975,000 from Church Development Fund. This will cover the purchase of a house, upgrade of our sound system with new technology, facility repairs to the education building, nursery remodel and new youth and children’s equipment needed to minister effectively in these growing areas.

Even though Church Development Fund’s examination of our income history supports a loan of this size, we are convicted to erase the debt as soon as we can. As a result we are launching our campaign…The Great Adventure: Celebrating a Lasting Legacy. Our goal is to raise as much money as possible over 3 years to pay off our $975,000 loan.
