Questions You May Have Before Visiting Us!

1.  What kind of church is this?

University Christian Church (UCC) is a nondenominational Christian church uniting people from diverse backgrounds into a loving, joyful church family. UCC is a place designed to serve both Christians and those who consider themselves spiritual seekers.

It's a safe place for people who are looking for answers to their spiritual questions, and simply want to check out Christianity without pressure. It's also a place where those who have decided to follow Jesus Christ can learn and be encouraged in their spiritual growth.

2.  How many worship services do you have at UCC?

We hold two services on Sunday mornings at 9:30a.m. and 11:15am. The services last approximately one hour and fifteen minutes.

3. What is the style of your worship?

Our 9:30am service is traditional in format with a classic style of hymns to worship God.

Our 11:15am service is contemporary and uses a wide range of styles with a full band to worship God.

4. What should I wear to the worship service?

Our dress at UCC is casual. Our members wear both casual and semi-formal attire (some men may wear a coat and tie and some women may wear dresses).  All are welcome and we want you to feel comfortable when you walk in to worship with us.

5.  Will I have to say anything, sign anything, give anything, or be singled out in any way?

Rest assured that you won't be put on the spot, singled-out, or embarrassed.

Though we do pass an offering basket, we don't want anyone to feel obligated to give--the service is our gift to you! We do like to collect some basic information from people but if you'd prefer not to give it that's alright with us. For security reasons, we do require some basic information if you decide to send your children to one of our classes.

6. What is available for my children during the worship services?

The children experience an incredible program of classes during the worship service. They are designed for children K-5th grade. Nursery care and Preschool is available during the worship service as well. The Preschoolers will enjoy play time and Bible lessons, as well as arts and crafts. Each Sunday the Junior and Senior High School group meet in the Fellowship Hall at 11:15am for a youth service led by our Youth Ministry team.
